RouteXK for ChatGPT — Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data RouteMap.ai (“we”, “us”) processes when you use the RouteXK app inside ChatGPT (the “ChatGPT app”) and when you open a route planned there on our website or in the RouteXK mobile app. It complements our general Privacy Policy, which applies to the RouteXK website and mobile app.
1. What data we receive
The ChatGPT app only receives what is needed to plan your route:
- Route details you ask us to plan: the start address or place name, the stops, the optional end point, whether to return to the start, an optional city and an optional route title.
- Request information shared by ChatGPT: your approximate location (city, region, country), language setting, time zone, and the technical details of the request (IP address of the request and user agent).
- Usage events: whether the route card was shown, and whether you used “Open on web” or “Open in app” (with a random click identifier and the type of device, mobile or desktop).
We do not receive your ChatGPT account details, your name, email address or phone number, your chat history, or files you share with ChatGPT. Do not include personal information about other people in route titles.
2. How we use it
- to look up the addresses and calculate and optimize the route;
- to show the route in ChatGPT and let you open the same route on our website or in our mobile app without typing the stops again;
- to measure how the ChatGPT app is used (for example, how many planned routes are opened on the web or in the app) and to improve it;
- to protect the service against abuse (rate limits) and to fix errors.
We do not use this data for advertising and we do not sell it.
3. Who we share it with

4. How long we keep it
Route links shown in ChatGPT work for 30 days. Routes planned in ChatGPT and the related usage events are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted or anonymized. If you open a route on our website or in our app and create an account or subscription there, that data is then kept under our general Privacy Policy.
5. Legal basis
We process this data to provide the service you request (performance of a contract) and for our legitimate interests in measuring, securing and improving the ChatGPT app.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive a copy of it, and you can complain to a data protection authority. Email support@routemap.ai; it helps if you include the route title or the stops so we can find the route.
7. Children
The ChatGPT app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
